Outlook – delete addresses from the suggestion list

If Outlook suggests addresses that aren’t relevant to you, removing those email addresses will help with your day-to-day workflow.

How to delete email addresses from the suggestion list

Hover your mouse over the address to be deleted and click the X. This address should no longer be suggested!

Stop showing suggestions in Outlook

If you want to completely do without the suggestion list, proceed as follows:

In Outlook click at:
EXTRAS – OPTIONS – EMAIL – OPTIONS – ADVANCED EMAIL – OPTIONS

Deactivate the option “SUGGEST SIMILAR NAMES WHEN FILLING IN THE ADDRESS FIELDS” by unchecking the box with a mouse click.
