If the automated birthday calendar in Outlook bothers you, you can hide it. Many users find this function confusing or annoying, especially if many birthdays are entered in the calendar. With our step-by-step guide, you can quickly deactivate this calendar and make your calendar clearer.

    1. Go to this link: https://outlook.office.com/calendar/view/month and sign in to your Microsoft 365 account if you are not already logged in.
    2. In the left-hand navigation area, you will find the Add calendar option. Click on it to access the other calendar options.
    3. Select the Birthdays entry from the list. Here you can make the settings for the birthday calendar.
    4. Remove the tick next to “Activate birthday calendar” to hide it. You can reactivate it at any time if you wish.
    5. Save the settings and refresh the page to make sure the birthday calendar has disappeared. Now you should see a tidier and clearer calendar!

You can reactivate the birthday calendar at any time if you decide to use it after all. This function can be useful if you want to keep an eye on the birthdays of colleagues or friends without having to add entries manually.
