Ethereum (ETH)

Ethereum is a leading platform for decentralized applications (DApps) and smart contracts, which was launched in 2015 by Vitalik Buterin and a team of developers. The platform is based on its own blockchain, which is more flexible than that of Bitcoin and enables developers to create their own programs directly on it.

Ethereum’s cryptocurrency is called Ether (ETH) and is used both as a means of payment for transactions and to pay for computing power on the network, known as gas. Ethereum has established itself as a central pillar of blockchain innovation by supporting NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) and DeFi (Decentralized Finance).

For companies like Olbricht IT, Ethereum can be a basis for blockchain-based applications or innovative payment solutions, especially in conjunction with smart contracts for automated processes.
